Tom Besser’s, Elite Fastpitch, has been training fast pitch softball players, ages 8-18, since 1989. Tom has become one of the authorities on pitching mechanics, pitcher/catcher strategy and how to train pitcher mental and physical discipline in the USA.  For many years Elite Fastpitch, was the largest windmill pitching school in the world.  At that time, it was part school and part pitching laboratory. With over 500 pitchers training at Elite Fastpitch per year, Elite was able to amass an enormous amount of pitching information. Then turning that information back into instruction which has produced over 400 college level players.

60 MPH Club

Our 60 MPH club was started in 1992. During our instruction I normally check my students every two weeks. In the late 80s and early 90s 60 MPH was not as common as it is today. I started the club as an incentive for students to throw harder. Whenever a student, or anyone I coached, hit 60 we added their name to the list. The club is alive and well and we add names as the event occurs. Pitchers with “*” have hit 65 mph or higher and pitchers with “* *” have hit 70 mph or faster. I still believe that anyone that puts the time and energy into pitching and achieves a goal of this difficulty deserves this recognition. I honor and respect these pitchers.

Hall of Fame

This is my body of work over the last 25 years. These are all students that came through Elite Fastpitch. Almost all were in my classes 5 to 12 years. There are 378 names on this list and they are all real people. Our pitchers are our best method of advertising.
